Happy New Year! 2025 went by in a blink of an eye, and am I alone in saying the few days after New Years Day can seem very melancholy? They don’t have to be! Just because the holidays are over does not mean we have to let the “winter scaries” get to us. These are some positive habits I’ve picked up when ringing in the new year to set myself up for a positive, successful year ahead, and you can do these too!
When ringing in every new year, I like to set my intentions and goals for the year to assure I set myself up for a successful, happy year ahead. Something I like to do prior to New Years Day is clean! I know it sounds simple, but it’s so refreshing to have a clean space before entering a new year, and removing anything you may no longer need.
Setting your intentions and goals can manifest in different ways for different people. I like to physically write down all of my goals and manifestations for the year, but it’s all personal preference! If you’re crafty like me, making a vision board might also be right up your alley!
A vision board is essentially a collage consisting of different photos, text, colors, etc. representing any goals or intentions you want to achieve. It’s a very fun and affordable craft to do with your friends or family! You can make a physical board using photos printed from the internet, or, my favorite, from miscellaneous magazines and newspapers! I’d like to think most people have a few old magazines lying around the house that they haven't parted ways with. If you do not have many craft materials, but still want to make a board, digital vision boards have been trending! You can make a collage using apps like Canva, PicsArt, PhotoGrid, etc. Swapping and sharing magazines or finding photos with your friends makes the experience so much fun!
Check out our vision board for 2026 above! If you and your friends decide to make vision boards for the new year, we’d love to see them! Tag us on Instagram! Wishing everybody a Happy and healthy New Year filled with nothing but success and good energy!
