Hello beautiful people and Welcome – I’m Gabriela Matos, a makeup artist dedicated to creating polished and personalized beauty looks. My work is rooted in passion, intention, and the belief that makeup should make you feel confident, seen and beautifully yourself.
My passion for makeup began long before I ever called myself an artist. As a teenager, I remember going to my friend’s house, and we would spend entire nights doing makeup on each other – trying new looks, experimenting with colors, and taking endless pictures to capture every moment. Those nights were filled with creativity, laughter, and the pure joy of expressing ourselves through beauty.
But as I grew older, life became heavier. Responsibilities piled up, challenges appeared, and slowly, without even noticing, I drifted away from the things that made me feel alive. I stopped practicing makeup. I stopped exploring my creativity. And with that, I felt like I lost pieces of myself, the curious, artistic version of me that used to stay up all night blending eyeshadow and chasing inspiration.
Returning to makeup in 2020 made me realize that makeup for me is more than a skill, it is a way of reconnecting with who I am. It is incredible to look back at the pictures the teenager me took – the playful looks I created with my friends and compare them to the work I do now. It reminds me that practice truly is the key to growth.
To turn this passion into something real, I invested in my training and completed a 20-hour Advanced Makeup Course at The Makeup Classes Studio, where I was introduced to The Anatomical Makeup Method™.
This method helped me understand more about facial structure, balance and bone placement, allowing me to create makeup looks that enhance natural features. Today I am proud to say that I work at The Makeup Studio on Sunday from 12PM to 4PM, where I continue to grow, create and connect with clients.
