Wearing White After Labor Day? Absolutely.

With all the truly questionable fashion trends out there—crocs with socks, ultra-low-rise jeans making a comeback, and denim-on-denim disasters—we’re still picking on white after Labor Day? Really? That’s what we’re choosing to gatekeep?

Let’s get one thing straight: white is crisp, clean, and timeless. It’s effortlessly classy and instantly elevates your look. It keeps you looking fresh and feeling cool—literally. So why are we still clinging to this outdated “rule”?

Personally, I follow the weather, not some ancient fashion guideline. When it’s warm, I live in breezy whites and light fabrics. As the temps drop, I naturally start to gravitate toward deeper tones and cozier textures. But that doesn’t mean white disappears from my wardrobe—it just shifts. I start incorporating softer shades like off-white, ivory, and warm beige. Think creamy sweaters, oatmeal scarves, and bone-colored boots.

And let’s talk about beauty: white isn’t just for clothes. White nail polish in the winter? Iconic. A white winged eyeliner? Total snow bunny vibes. It’s unexpected, chic, and makes your eyes pop against those deeper fall hues.

The truth is, no matter the season, every color is in—including white. Fashion should be about expression, not restriction. So wear what makes you feel confident, comfortable, and most importantly, you. And if that’s white after Labor Day? Go for it—unapologetically.
