Beauty Essentials for Travel

Traveling can be fun and exciting, but can also take a toll on how you look and feel! Luckily, there are steps that can be taken to make sure you look and feel your best self, no matter where you go.

Hydrate:

  • Make sure you are drinking enough water.

  • Hydration is not only good for replenishing your body but will also reduce inflammation, promote blood flow and keep your skin moisturized.

Exfoliate:

  • Exfoliate your skin around a few days before your trip. This can help remove any dead skin buildup and prevent pore clogging due to environmental changes or pollutants that your skin is not used to.

  • Exfoliating can also promote product absorption.

Moisturize:

  • Using moisturizer and lip balm is important because air travel can dry out or irritate your skin.

  • Hydrate and replenish your skin and reduce redness by using a daily moisturizer.

  • Don’t forget to use SPF, especially if you are traveling somewhere sunny.

  • Using a hydrating skin spray can be great on the go, as long as it is in a travel-safe container!

Keep Skin Clean:

  • Keep your hands clean! Wash them often when traveling.

  • Keep travel-safe hand sanitizer in your carryon.

  • Consider using Hypochlorous Acid spray if you struggle with acne, as it is antibacterial and anti inflammatory.

  • Avoid touching your face to prevent bacteria transfer and breakouts.

  • Using a toner can also balance the pH of your skin and remove impurities.

  • Use makeup remover or a cleansing balm to break down and wash away makeup.

  • Be sure to use a facial cleanser after removing makeup, and pat dry with a clean towel.

Travel-Size Makeup Products

  • Make sure all your products are less than 3.4oz. Be aware of products like liquid foundation and setting sprays, check the product details.

  • Pack up your makeup essentials in a clean and organized manner, only bring what you really need!
